Tian Tan was born in China Guang Dong. He start professional dance training at Guang Dong Professional Dance School between 2000-2004. In 2005 Tian immigrated to United States, He continued to training with Marat Daukayev Ballet Academy, Milwaukee Ballet and Miami City Ballet all with full scholarship.
In 2008, Tian joined Los Angeles Ballet Company under director Colleen Neary and Thordal Christensen. While in the company Tian had an opportunity to perform roles in the Nutcracker, the La Sylphide, the Balanchine’s Prodigal Son and the Swan Lake. In 2010 he danced with California Riverside Ballet and performed their cavalier role in the Nutcracker production.
Between 2011-2014, Tian travel to the Bay Area to join Company C Contemporary Ballet under director Charles Anderson. While in the company he performed the solo role with Dannis Nahat’s Ontogeny work, Yuri Zhukov’s Railroad Joint work and many great works from Charles Anderson.
In 2012 Tian recieved his USA Citizenship. From 2014 to 2020 Tian continued to dance in great productions with the Los Angeles Ballet company, Atlantic City Ballet under director Phyllis Papa and Roxy Ballet under director Mark Roxey.
In 2021-2022 Tian returned to California to teach in various schools and also worked with the South Coast Conservatory under director Maria Tikhomirova and Enton Hoxha to guest perform their cavalier role in the Nutcracker production.
Currently Tian is living happily in the Berkeley area, preparing upcoming projects and teaching his accumulated ballet techniques.
