Shanil has been dancing on and off for about 16 years, taking classes in modern, jazz, and Bollywood. He has competed professionally on a hip-hop team for one year and has done performances throughout the United States.
More recently, Shanil has been an aerialist, specializing in pole artistry for the past 3 years, and has done two performances including the Northern California Pole Presentational in 2021, and Element this year.
Besides training aerial tricks, Shanil has also been training in low flow progressions and heels choreography which includes dancing through sequences utilizing the pole and the base of the pole.
