Creations Berkeley is a youth-centered media and performing arts nonprofit dedicated to expanding access to dance, digital media, and performance education for underserved youth in Berkeley and the East Bay. We help young creators build confidence, community, technical skills, and clear pathways into higher education and creative careers.

Since launching in 2022, we’ve grown from 20–30 students to serving over 100 youth annually, maintaining a 95% retention rate. Our students have completed 700+ hours of instruction, performed in 20+ public events, created dozens of media projects, and even premiered a student-produced short film at a local festival.

Beginning in 2026, our first Leadership & Teaching Cohort will train long-term students as Creative Interns and prepare them to become paid youth instructors—strengthening local workforce development and ensuring our programs are led by the community we serve.
